Apple’s Mac lineup was due for an upgrade, and we have exciting details from renowned analyst Mark Gurman suggesting new MacBooks and iMacs are coming soon. We recently got a new Apple Pencil with a USB-C port instead of new iPads. And now it looks like Apple will launch a 24-inch iMac refresh and new MacBooks this month. So let’s take a look at what the latest reports say about the upcoming Mac devices.
New MacBook and M3 iMac will be launched soon!
Gurman suggests that Apple “planning a Mac-focused product launch“, and it could happen as soon as “around the end of this month.” Considering that the currently available 24-inch iMac came out with the M1 chipset back in 2021this product has been around for a long time due to an upgrade.
According to the Bloomberg reportcurrent stocks of Apple iMacs and MacBook Pros are scarce. This suggests that a planned upgrade is getting closer. Gurman states that Apple previously planned a “larger, professional iMac” shortly after the 24-inch iMac launched.
Furthermore, popular analyst Ming-Chi Kuo recently claimed the new Apple M3-equipped MacBooks won’t hit the market until next year. So it’s important to keep our expectations in check for the launch of the new MacBook Pros with the M3 chip. We may only see minor upgrades for the MacBooks and ultimately no processor upgrade.
Gurman’s report states that new MacBook Pros have also been released back in Januaryanother update for these laptops this year “It would be unusual, but not unthinkable.” The report suggests that new MacBook Pros will hit the market soon. But the new M3 MacBook Air won’t be released until next year.

For the new iMac, the biggest change is expected to be a processor upgrade. This particular iMac is the only model in the Apple range that has not yet been upgraded to the M-series chip. Apples M2 triumphs over M1 chip, with an increase in the number of transistors of ~4 billion. The newer processors deliver 18% faster CPU performance and up to 35% faster GPU performance.
The M2-based 24-inch iMac The launch seems likely to take place at the end of this month. However, there are mixed reactions from top analysts regarding the launch date of the new M3-based MacBook Pros. All that’s left to do is wait and see if Apple announces an October event for new Macs.
