Who are Creature Commandos?

Creature commands

Creature Commandos are a group soldiers who were given superhuman abilities during the Second World War. Their origin story takes place in 1941, when American involvement in World War II was inevitable. The US government brought together all divisions of the armed forces to work on psychological warfare against the Germans and declared it Project M.

Professor Mezersky, one of the lead scientists of Project M, realized that psychologically, all humans have an inherent fear of things that appear human, but are not human. They are all afraid of images of creepy, horrible monsters. Inspired by this realization, they came up with the idea of creating a group of superhuman soldiers who looked terrifying to terrorize the Nazis.

Mezersky recruited soldiers who volunteered to participate in this project and be experimented on. The army officers who volunteered were Warren Griffith, Vincent Velcro and Elliot Taylor.

Creature Commandos movie plot

As far as I’m concerned, this series could be a live-action adaptation of Weird War Tales #93, published in November 1980, the comic in which Creature Commandos made their debut.

Whatever the story of Creature Commandos is, I’m pretty sure it will turn out to be a good one because DC doesn’t miss a beat when it comes to animated shows and movies. I could also be wrong, but I would choose to be positive about it. As of now, though, all we can do is wait for an official release date announcement and keep our hopes high!
