GTA 6, the long-awaited sequel to a series that has been dormant since 2013, is one full of rumors and expectations. And while most of them are just that: rumors, there may finally be some good news. It is now said that Rockstar Games is ready to announce Grand Theft Auto 6 very soon, along with a trailer to follow later this year.
GTA 6 announcement and trailer reveal coming soon
This information comes through Bloombergs Jason Schreier, who claims that Rockstar plans to officially announce GTA 6 “already this week” yourself. Jason’s sources are specifically “people familiar with the game’s plans.” He further claims that the company is a official trailer next month to celebrate Rockstar’s 25th anniversary.
We expect the announcement itself to be quite bare-bones, with Rockstar simply dropping a logo for the upcoming game to tease fans. Plus, an official trailer for the company’s 25th anniversary makes sense, as this would be the perfect time for it. The trailer would obviously give a taste of the same gameplay we saw back then enormous GTA 6 leak in September 2022. We could also finally see confirmation of the game’s dual protagonist, with a Miami backdrop thrown in.
However, keep in mind that Schrier’s sources have not been identified and therefore you should take it with a grain of salt. Nevertheless, this particular piece of news sounds more solid than the countless rumors we’ve seen in recent months.
GTA 6 Possible Release Date
There’s no word yet on GTA 6’s official release date, as that would obviously follow the game’s announcement and trailer reveal. However, previous reports and speculation put it somewhere between late 2024 and spring 2025. But as before, it is purely speculation and cannot be confirmed until we get official word from the company.
Regardless of whether GTA 6 is announced this week or not, there’s no doubt that it has already sparked intense excitement and anxiety among fans. What do you think of the alleged GTA 6 announcement and trailer release? Share your thoughts in the comments below.
