Huawei P50 Pocket launched

After starting two folding tablets In the recent past, Huawei has now also embarked on the clamshell folding phone cart with the launch of the Huawei P50 Pocket in China today. This smartphone looks all set to take on the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3, and it offers unique features such as a circular display, a foldable display with a high refresh rate, a patented hinge design and much more.

Huawei P50 Pocket: Specifications and Features

Starting with the design, the Huawei P50 Pocket is reminiscent of the Galaxy Z Flip 3. One of the main talking points of this foldable is the multi-dimensional hinge, which helps to achieve the seamless, flat and wrinkle-free design. It has a shorter radius and is reportedly more durable than its predecessors. The device is approximately 15mm thick when folded and only 7.2mm thick when unfolded. It weighs 190 grams, which is quite decent for a foldable phone.

The outstanding feature of the Huawei P50 Pocket is: the double ring design on the outer panel. Like the Z Flip 3’s cover display, it also displays call/message notifications, calendar updates, music playback controls, and more.

You can also use the outer screen to snap selfies with the main camera. The smart cover display has a refresh rate of 60 Hz and a resolution of 340 x 340p. Check out the cover display of the P50 Pocket in action here:
