Intel 14th generation processors based on the Meteor Lake architecture were previously unveiled at the Innovation 2023 event that took place a few months ago. After what seems like a long wait, the company is ready to unveil these processors at an upcoming event that was recently announced. The event is called AI Everywhere and will feature many announcements, including two new product series.
Intel AI Everything Event Announced: Details
Intel’sAI Elkewhere’ event will take place December 14, 2023 (10:00 AM EST). According to the official company afterit has confirmed it will launch the first Intel Core Ultra (Meteor Lake) processors here, along with new ones 5th generation Xeon (Emralds Rapids) processors. The Intel Core Ultra series will be particularly exciting as they are Intel’s upcoming flagship processors in the 14th generation CPU series for laptops. The differences Core Ultra mobile CPU variants that Intel is expected to launch are as follows:
- Core Ultra 5
- Core Ultra 7
- Core Ultra 9
The other base variant, ‘Core’ processors, were not mentioned in the details of this event. But these should also be launched in 2024, which would slowly move the industry towards Intel’s latest architecture. These Core Ultra variants are more focused on performance, and the laptops that come to market later with these processors will certainly be downright powerful and expensive.
As you can see from the name of the event, the main focus should be on artificial intelligence, where we’ll see the new chips perform through AI workloads. Meteor Lake architecture brings a NPU chip at the table, which completely changes the game when it comes to AI capabilities on a consumer-facing chip.
It is now possible to run AI models on the device itself (without internet), thanks to the built-in NPU chip that consumes hardly any power yet delivers high performance for AI computing workloads. In addition, the faster one is also integrated Arc imageswhich even supports it ray tracing.

Speaking of the upcoming Xeon chips, we don’t have any confirmed details from Intel yet. At the Innovation 2023 event, they showed off an upcoming Intel Xeon 5th generation processor with a as many as 288 cores. A hybrid architecture is expected here, consisting of Intel 4 and Intel 7 processes used for different chiplets within the Xeon processor. We will know more about this soon!

There’s a lot to tell about Intel 14th Gen, apart from the manufacturing process that’s evolving to deliver the ‘biggest architectural change in more than ten years‘, and that’s why they did that renamed and removed the ‘i’ in Intel Core processors.
What do you think of the official launch of Intel 14th Gen Meteor Lake at the company’s AI anywhere event? Let us know in the comments below.
