
The Intel 14th generation processor range for desktops has already been around issued. However, amid all the leaks and rumors, another chip has appeared on the scene. We are talking about the recent appearance of the Intel Core i3-14100, which is based on the Raptor Lake Refresh architecture.
Intel 14th Gen Core i3-14100: Specifications and Performance
The new leak comes via the hardware leaker @haruzake5719, via X (formerly Twitter), who has previously shared many details about the PC hardware industry. The Intel Core i3-14100 becomes one quad core processor in 2023. It has been said that this will happen 4 cores and 8 wires. A base clock speed of 3.50 GHz is mentioned, and it also doesn’t support turbo boost. So yes, this is clearly Intel’s entry-level processor that we can expect to be priced accordingly.

If you’re wondering about the performance of the Intel Core i3-14100, we previously saw a leak regarding the benchmarks of this locked, non-K-series Intel 14th generation processor. This CPU had turned up Geekbenchand the above leaked specifications can be verified in the test result. This was originally shared via @Benchleaks on X (formerly Twitter).
The i3-14100 scores 2509 points in Geekbench 6 Single-Core. On the multi-core side it scored 8881 points. These scores correspond to those of a modern Core i3 processor, and here we do see a slight performance gain. The test was performed with 5600 MHz RAM.

Intels Core i3-14100 The Raptor Lake Refresh CPU is already on sale in China, according to Goofish’s online listing (above leak). This entry-level i3 14th generation is priced at ~$120 at the Chinese retailer (CN„ 850). This is quite comparable to the price of the Intel 13th generation i3-13100 processor. However, please note that these prices are not confirmed and are subject to change. This Intel CPU is called in the full Intel 14th generation CPU queue up also leak. So yeah, we’ve been hearing about it for a long time.
Speaking of availabilityMany expect Intel to launch more 14th generation Raptor Lake Refresh processors for desktops in early 2024. They should be available on the market by CES 2024.
