The new iOS 15.2.1 update fixes the problem that: didn’t load photos sent with an iCloud link in Messages. It also fixes a CarPlay bug where the third-party CarPlay apps were not responding to user input.

The new iOS update, as suggested by a security document, also provides a solution to a HomeKit problem, which caused a denial-of-service (DDoS) attack. This would cause the iPhone to crash or freeze. The aforementioned vulnerability, first noted by security researcher Trevor Spiniolas, could affect iPhones with iOS 14.7 and later and iPads with iPadOS 14.7 or later.
