Download Jio Discontinues its Cheapest Re 1 Data Plan in India for free
Earlier this month, Jio surprisingly introduced the cheapest data plan, which allows users to get 100MB of high-speed 4G data for just Re 1. The new Re 1 charging plan, which came a few weeks later Jio has increased its prepaid plans in India was also revised to provide less data. To add to the dismay of users, Jio has now discontinued the plan.
Jio’s cheapest subscription has been discontinued
The Re 1 prepaid plan no longer exists on the Jio website or the MyJio app. This comes after Jio recently lowered the subscription data cap from 100MB to 10MB. The validity was also reduced from 30 days to 1 day. Still, this plan turned out to be the cheapest of all.
there is no word on why Jio decided to stop the plan shortly after it was launched and revised.
Users who used the Re 1 charging plan before it was discontinued can still enjoy their data benefits for the charging period. However, they (or people trying to opt for it for the first time) won’t be able to get the now-defunct Re 1 recharge plan.
For those who don’t know, Jio has updated its prepaid recharge plans after a recent price hike. Previously, the company updated its JioPhone All-in-One charging plans, adding a new Rs 152 plan for JioPhone users.
But there is also good news! To celebrate the new year, Jio announced to offer an additional 29 days of validity for its Rs 2,545 subscription in India, extending its validity to one year. However, the offer is valid until January 2, 2022. So if you are interested, you can go to Jio’s website or MyJio app to take advantage of it.
