The OnePlus 10 series is often seen in the news, further fueling the anticipation. In addition to the various rumors about the design and specs, we’ve also received confirmation about the phone’s launch timeline, which is set for early January 2022. The latest information now points to the exact launch date and even the design of the OnePlus 10 Pro.
OnePlus 10 Pro launch date and design revealed
The alleged teaser video of the OnePlus 10 Pro (via Weibo) has been leaked showing the design and especially the launch date, namely: most likely set to January 11. This comes as no surprise, since OnePlus recently confirmed that the smartphone will arrive in January 2022.
As for the design, the video shows the previously leaked 10 Pro design, including: a huge bump from the rear camera and a curved perforated screen. This would make for a new design unlike anything we’ve seen on OnePlus flagships before.
It is further suggested that the OnePlus 10 Pro will be launched in China first (something we have) heard before) at 2:00 PM Chinese time (or 11:30 AM IST), followed by a global launch, possibly sometime in March or April. Popular tipster Mukul Sharma, however, believes that the “The launch in India is also approaching,and it could happen sooner than expected. We’ll have to wait for an official announcement to get a better idea.
Speaking of the specs sheet, the OnePlus 10 Pro has been confirmed to be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset and the rumors hint at three cameras on the back. It can be a 48MP main camera, a 50MP ultra-wide-angle lens and an 8MP telephoto lens with a zoom power of up to 3.3x. There can be a 32MP front camera also on board. A 5000mAh battery unit with support for 80W fast charging (a first for OnePlus) is also expected.
The OnePlus 10, which recently passed the TENNA certification, is also expected to launch alongside the Pro variant. However, not much is known about the device.
