After several leaks, rumors and practical images, Xiaomi the launch date confirmed of its highly anticipated flagship series, the Xiaomi 12 series, earlier this week. Now we have our first look at the Xiaomi 12, thanks to leaked official press releases of the device. Furthermore, a leaked infographic image of the Xiaomi 12 gives us an idea of ​​the expected specs and prices. Let’s take a look at the details below.

Xiaomi 12 design revealed in official renders

Starting with the renders, renowned tipster Evan Blass (aka @evleaks) recently took to Twitter to share the official renderings of the default Xiaomi 12. Blass shared three images of the device and showed it in three different colorways: green, blue and purple. You can check out the tweet below.

Now the green-colored variant of the Xiaomi 12 has a vegan leather based rear windowl, just like the vegan leather variant of the Mi 11 that the company launched in China. However, the other color variants appear to have a standard AG glass mat back panel. The renders also reveal that the device will have a centered selfie camera with holes and a triple camera setup on the back.

In addition, these images appear to be the official press releases that the company will presumably use to launch the device once it launches on December 28. previous renders by means of OnLeakswere not, however.

Xiaomi 12 specs and price leaked

Aside from the official renders, a recently leaked infographic image has revealed the specs and expected pricing of the Xiaomi 12. The leaked image comes from a Chinese source on Weibo called Panda is bald.

According to the leak, the Xiaomi 12 will sport a 6.28-inch display with support for a 120Hz refresh rate, which has been given an A+ rating by DisplayMate. We also learn that the display supports HDR10+ and Dolby Vision and has a resolution of 2400 x 1080p.

Coming to the cameras, the smartphone will have a triple camera setup on the back. This includes a huge 50MP primary lens with f/1.9 aperture, a 13MP ultra-wide-angle lens with a 123-degree field of view and an unspecified telephoto lens with support for 3x zoom and OIS.

Further, we already know that the device is powered by the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC, combined with up to 12 GB of RAM and up to 256 GB of storage. There will also be a 4,500 mAh battery with support for 67W wired fast charging and 30W wireless fast charging.

Other than this, the Xiaomi 12 supports Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2 and 5G networks by default. It will also come with stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos support.

Prices

As for the pricing, the leaked image shows that the 8GB + 128GB base model of Xiaomi 12 will be priced at CNY 3,699 (~Rs 43,624) while the 8GB + 256GB variant will cost CNY 3,999 (~Rs 47,162). The top model, with 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage, costs CNY 4,399 (~ Rs 51,880). The Chinese giant is expected to release three models – the standard Xiaomi 12, a Xiaomi 12 Pro and a Xiaomi 12X. The Xiaomi 12 Ultra, on the other hand, is expected to make its way to the market later.
