Xiaomi 12X Expected to Launch in India Soon; Details Leaked

Xiaomi recently launched the high-end Xiaomi 12 series with the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset, along with the Xiaomi 12X settling for the mid-range Snapdragon 870 chipset. While there is no word on when the Xiaomi 12 and 12 Pro will reach India, it has been revealed that the Xiaomi 12X will definitely be launched in India soon.

A report from 91Mobiles suggests that the Xiaomi 12X has been confirmed to launch soon in India. This one contradicts an earlier rumor suggested that the phone will not reach India. However, we don’t have any details on the exact launch date. However, it is likely to be launched in the first half of 2022.

Apart from this, the source has revealed details about the RAM + storage variants, the possible color options and the price of the Xiaomi 12X in India. It has been found that the smartphone will be launched in two configurations — 8GB + 128GB and 8GB + 256GB. It is also expected to be available in purple, blue and gray colours.

As for the price, the Xiaomi 12X likely to fall below Rs 40,000 to compete with people like the OnePlus North 2, the Realme GT 5G and more in India.

For those who don’t know, the Xiaomi 12X comes with a design similar to the Xiaomi 12. You’ll find a rectangular rear camera with one large camera body and two small ones, and a perforated screen. You have a 6.28-inch Full-HD+ AMOLED panel on board. It supports a 120Hz refresh rate, a touch sampling rate of 480 Hz, a peak brightness of 1100 nits, Dolby Vision, HDR10+ and a layer of Gorilla Glass Victus.

In China, the phone will get up to 12 GB of RAM and up to 256 GB of storage. Camera-wise there is one 50MP Sony IMX766 main camera, a 13 MP ultra-wide camera and a 5 MP macro camera on board. You also get a 32MP selfie camera. The phone is equipped with a 4,500mAh battery of 67W fast charging support and runs on Android 12 MIUI 13 out of the box. It remains to be seen whether the Xiaomi 12X will come to India with the new MIUI iteration or not.
