With episode 1085, the long Wano Country Saga is now officially over in the anime. Therefore, it is time to witness the next saga, the 11th saga of the One Piece series, titled the “Last saga” by renowned author Eiichiro Oda.

As the name suggests, this is the beginning of One Piece’s fantastic ending. And the first arc we have here in this yet another epic saga is called the “Egghead Arch” also known as Future Island arc, which started from chapter 1058 in the manga.

Therefore, the official production team behind the One Piece anime has now officially announced that the broadcast for the Egghead Island arc will begin January 7, 2024. The anime will adapt volume 105 of the manga, which will cover chapter 1061 – unknown (as the Future Island arc is currently underway).

Post-Wano incidents in anime

You must have been wondering if the Egghead arc starts next year in January, what will the anime show be like in the meantime. The answer to that question is simple; It is highly speculated that Toei Studios decided to consider Chapter 1061 as the beginning of the Egghead arc in anime, as that was when the Straw Hats officially set foot on Egghead Island.

But this arc started in chapter 1058 in the manga. As a result, it is speculated that the episodes yet to air (before the Egghead arc begins on January 7) will adapt the remaining chapters 1058, 1059, and 1060. Therefore, prepare yourself for some fascinating battles before Straw hat pirates go to Egghead Island. You can also expect a usual holiday break or filler/recap episodes in late December.

At this point, we don’t know what plans Toei Studios has in mind for the remaining chapters, as the date is set for January 7, 2024. Only time can let us know the real answer soon. Additionally, the Egghead arc is the 32nd storyline in the series and not as long as the Wano Country arc. The Egghead arc is already in the final stages of the manga, so we can’t wait to see the new outfits (more on that below) and legendary battles in this arc get animated soon.
