X (Twitter) Is Finally Bringing Back Article Headlines!

Since Elon Musk took over Twitter, the highly renowned tech entrepreneur has been busy creating drastic changes to the platform. Recently, Elon Musk confirmed that X (formerly Twitter) will receive another update to revert to a previous change he had made.

Musk, owner of X, posted on the platform about the new change. The article headlines are finally coming back! Elon expressed his desire to improve the aesthetics by removing the headlines completely. However, this was not a well-received change.

Now the X platform will article titles overlap in the Upper part of their recommended images. Overall, it looks like it will be less intrusive than what it looked like before. We will soon know how exactly this change will come into effect. Instead of the article headings appearing below or above the displayed image, they are present within the image itself in the form of an overlay.

End of August 2023 Elon Musk DELETED article headlines of the URLs inserted into messages (also known as tweets) on This caused confusion as less context was given to readers about a particular link. As you can see in the message (via @xDaily), the new change was quite confusing.

Elon Musk himself said that this change comes directly from him. Presumably the aesthetics ‘greatly enhanced‘ with the new change. It didn’t really accomplish much though, other than causing more confusion and people trolling each other.
